Telemedicine or on-site treatment – your choice 

Getting sick in a foreign country can be a major problem: you do not know any doctors, you have no network, and you may not even speak the local language. 
The Air Doctor app helps with this: insured people can quickly set up a video consultation. This gives them a quick initial assessment – which is especially helpful for mental health issues. As mental health is becoming increasingly important for many young people, DR-WALTER offers up to three telemedicine consultations in the patient's native language as part of its group contracts.

Those who prefer to visit a doctor's office in person can use the app to display a list of nearby doctors, including their specialties, language options, and the ability to make appointments directly online. 

Direct billing with doctors in the Air Doctor network 

A significant advantage for insured persons: in many cases, the costs of treatment can be settled directly between Air Doctor and the respective practice. This eliminates the need for advance payment, which is otherwise common for private treatment abroad.
